Challenge Overview
Launch operations epitomize complexity, involving numerous dynamic elements such as equipment readiness, personnel locations, and ever-changing weather conditions. The Spaceforce faced significant challenges managing these variables, as critical data like blast zones, equipment locations, and personnel activities were confined to disparate systems. This fragmentation complicated the orchestration of launch steps, which include managing volatile fueling processes, coordinating hundreds of crew members, and handling large equipment movements within capacity-stretched spaceports.
Solution Strategy
To streamline operations and enhance safety, Tesseract implemented an integrated solution comprising PRISM™ hardware, MOSAIC RT™, and a custom ATAK-integrated visualization tool. This combined system delivers real-time situational awareness by overlaying data on blast zones, personnel, and vehicle locations, enabling proactive safety measures and efficient asset deconfliction. The scalable solution also accommodates additional sensors to monitor non-military activities and integrates diverse data points like weather conditions, creating a comprehensive real-time digital twin of the spaceport.
